Earlier this year I was fortunate enough to ‘meet’, through email, a long time customer of the indy sewing patterns, Simply Modest Swimwear. She kindly sent me some pictures of a few of her finished garments to share here.
Jackie has been making the Simply Modest Swimsuits for her granddaughter and for a few of her granddaughter’s friends, for the past 3 years, using the girl pattern. This year she bought the Ladies pattern from me, so she could carry on making the suits as her grand daughter got older.
As you can see above, the suits are gorgeous and very professionally made! Having made so many, I am sure Jackie has a lot of insight into how to best utilize this pattern, and I am hoping to ask Jackie for some tips in dealing with this pattern and the fabric for a later post.
And above, being worn by the recipients of the beautiful makes. The swimsuits, the granddaughter and the friends are stunning,
Jackie informed me that she was unable to find any stockists of the Simply Modest Swimsuits, online, except for my store. I also have only found the Simply Modest swimsuits on Etsy, however the store is currently closed.
I did try several years ago to order more, however the postage and cost was prohibitive to Australia, so I will not be stocking these patterns once they are all gone.
Thank you Jackie for sharing these makes. Your workmanship is wonderful and the swimsuits are beautiful and makes me want to get to work on swimsuits of my own!
